The CPD Accredited Health & Safety in Care Training Course is designed to complement Standard 13 of the Care Certificate and will assist you in better comprehending that standard. This Standard discusses the laws, regulations, and duties that are associated with Health and Safety in the Care industry. It also takes a look at accidents and unexpected illnesses.

Our Health and Safety in Care Training Course is designed to educate users on the law that surrounds health and safety, with the goal of protecting both the person providing care and the persons who are receiving care.

There are a number of laws that must be followed in order to ensure the health and safety of those receiving care. In this class, we will go through the following topics:

  • RIDDOR 2013
  • The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
  • The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
  • The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations
  • The Manual Handling Operations Regulations
  • The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
  • The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations

This Standard also discusses who is responsible for workplace health and safety, how policies and procedures are developed with the employer, and the duties that should be performed following training. You will also learn about accidents and unexpected illnesses in this course. Accidents and unexpected illnesses may strike anybody at any moment, but because of the nature of the care sector, you may frequently deal with weaker individuals who occasionally have physical and mental problems, which might increase the likelihood of an accident or sudden sickness.
