Any unwelcome and recurrent sexual behaviour is referred to as sexual harassment.
Approximately 40% of women and 18% of men report having encountered unwelcome sexual behaviour at work, so clearly more has to be done to end sexual harassment.
Every employee should be able to show up to work feeling valued, inspired, and secure. Having said that, a workplace should make every effort to uphold the dignity and respect of its employees.
This training on sexual harassment awareness should be used as a tool to spread knowledge about this critical and frequently challenging problem in UK workplaces. This training may be presented to all employees, even if there has never been or is currently no sexual harassment in the workplace. It shouldn’t merely be utilised as a “reactive” approach.
